Hey guys, welcome back to Vape Gossip. Thanks for tuning-in. This weeks episode is all about the Arizer Air, the new and improved version of the Solo.
The Arizer also makes the Extreme Q and the Solo. The Air is the upgraded version of the Solo. It’s more compact, discreet, it’s smaller, it’s lighter, more durable and it’s in more of a cylinder shape which makes it easier to put in your purse.
Put it in your pocket. It’s nice, it’s a really great portable vape. They really turned the Solo into a more portable version which is really nice because it’s really discreet in your hand, the only thing you can see is the mouthpiece, but they made the mouthpiece smaller than the Solo as well, which is really nice. It does come with two different ones, a plastic tip, but that’s heat resistant, and an all-glass mouthpiece, so you have options which is nice but I believe that the all-glass gives the purest flavor.
It’s made of very durable material, but it’s still lightweight, which is nice. That’s great for the wear and tear of carrying it around with you, which is another reason why it’s great for a portable vape. The top is vented, so it does release the heat. When you’re carrying a vape sometimes it heats up in your hand and some of them can get really, really hot. This one, you don’t have to worry about that at all. They do provide a free silicone case that you can put on it which helps with not getting it scratched, but it does help with the temperature also.
The skins keep it nice and cool, and you could also purchase these skins on their website if you want, they have all different colors so you can make your vape any color you want, which is neat. It also comes with a carrying case which is good for portability also, you can just keep it right here, you can clip it on your purse or your pants, whatever you want. It does have two different chambers for the mouthpieces which is great because that was one flaw that I didn’t like about the mouthpieces. I wish they would have made it retractable, like the DaVinci Ascent, so you wouldn’t have to worry about, if you dropped it, breaking the mouthpiece, it would’ve been protected in the vaporizer itself. But this is nice, that you have something to put the mouthpiece and the vaporizer into.
Also, another piece it comes with is the dish, this is for the oils or botanicals or potpourri, this is also a diffuser, not only a vaporizer.
Yeah, so you can diffuse anywhere, pretty much, on the go, or even at the house you can put that on top of the vaporizer, put potpourri or essential oils, whatever you want, in there and it actually diffuses it into the air, so that’s a really nice feature also.
The Arizer Air also comes with a retractable and rechargeable battery. It’s at the bottom of the vape, you just twist off the cap and there’s the battery. You can purchase more at different stores, they’re really well-known batteries so you can find them anywhere.
You can buy a charger for the batteries because you do actually charge this battery in the vape itself with a charger port you plug into the back of the vaporizer, but you can actually buy a separate charger for the batteries, buy multiple batteries and recharge those, which is a great feature. The Solo, you actually had to have a screwdriver to take off the bottom and get to the battery, so this is a great feature, to just be able to unscrew it and change them out.
Yeah, so you could always have a charged one with you when this dies, and you could just pop it right in and keep vaporizing. You do get about an hour session of vaping continuously, so that’s how long it lasts.
You can vape while charging also which is another great feature.
That’d be like 6 10-minute sessions of vaping per charge. Well, also like you said, you could by the dock online and the charge the batteries with the dock or just plug this right in and you could vape while charging. The battery goes in at the bottom of the vaporizer, the top of the vaporizer is where the heating chamber is, that’s where you pack your herbs and put in your mouthpiece. You just take off the top, and there’s the ceramic heating chamber surrounded by stainless steel.
It’s a pretty decent size chamber and it’s great for oils too. You have some options of what you want to put in it. This is a great portable vaporizer, I really like it. They’ve got all of that stuff out really well.
Yeah, they did. This is the stem, the great thing about this, you also don’t really need to touch the herbs because what you could do is out the herbs in a bowl and you just stick in this mouthpiece and twist it around and it will pack the bowl. Then you just flip the vaporizer upside-down and pop it right in.
You’ll notice it’s kind of hard to push this stem in and that’s because all the pieces fit nice and tight together, nice and snug, so it’s definitely durable. Then it would look like this and you’d be able to start vaping. We’ll show you how to actually use the buttons next. It has an advanced heating technology, 5 settings ranging from 356° Fahrenheit to 410°.
The lowest setting is going to be blue and the highest setting is going to be red. My favorite temperature would be the green because I like flavor when I’m vaping, that’s the most important thing to me. If you like dense vapor I would go with the yellow or red setting. You do get a decent amount of vapor with any setting that you’re on, but if you like the think, dense vapor I would go with the two top settings. The two bottom settings are actually for oils.
They have the blue and the white and then in it goes to green …
Blue, white, green, orangeish-yellowish, red.
Blue’s the lowest, red’s the highest.
It doesn’t tell you the numbers so you just have to remember it but it’s not too hard to remember.
Once you pick whatever heating setting that you want to be on that will be the top color, so we’re on blue right now, and the bottom light will blink until it is ready to be vaped.
When it’s blinking it’s heating up.
While it’s heating up, yeah. Once it goes solid you’re ready to go, ready to vape.
Let’s see. Right now it’s ready to vape because we’ve been having it on blue. It takes about 1-2 minutes the heat up. Let’s say we want to go up to white, there’s white, let’s go up again, there’s the green, there’s the yellow and there’s the red. Let’s do the green, and you’ll see it’s going to start blinking. There’s the blinking, it’s heating up, and then, in about 1-2 minutes, it’ll go solid and you’re ready to vape.
Then you’re ready to go. Another really cool feature, or two cool features, about this is if you want to be discreet when you’re out in public and you don’t want anybody to hear the beep of the vaporizer turning on you can hold the top button for two seconds and that will turn the beeping feature off. Also, if you hold this bottom button down for two seconds, it recalls your last heating setting, so if you forgot what you were vaporizing on last vape session, but you really liked the flavor you were getting and the vapor you were getting, you can just hold this bottom button down and it’ll take you right back to that heating setting, which is really nice. Also, it does have an automatic shutoff setting which, in ten minutes, if you forget to shut the vaporizer off, it will shut off for you. It literally does cover pretty much everything you need.
Now we’re going to show you how to vaporize out of the Arizer Air. We packed the stem.
It’s filled with rosemary, I know we’ve used this on the show before, but it’s one of my favorites. It’s really good for you’re mental clarity, inflammation, memory, so it’s a really nice herb, I like it a lot.
Yeah. I told you how you could dip the stem into a bowl in order to pack it, well you could also, just like the silver surfer, you could pull the herbs through, and that’s what I did here. Now you’ll just put the vape upside-down, and there you go.
Clicks right on.
Let’s turn it on.
Like we said before, we’re going to hold the middle button for about 3 seconds, you’re going to hear a beep, that means it’s ready to go. I’m going to choose my temperature setting, I’m actually going to start with the white, keep it on the lower side, see if I like that one and work my way up.
Yeah, let’s see.
It’s blinking right now.
1-2 minute heat-up time.
Not too bad.
What I really do love about this, what you’ll see, is the vapor quality, the pure taste due to the glass and the ceramic heating chamber.
Yeah. We are using the all glass mouthpiece in this one.
I got a little bit.
Yeah. The flavor is awesome. It tastes really, really great, I love it. That’s what I prefer, over the denseness of the [inaudible 00:10:08] I like the flavor better, but it’s totally a preference and that’s why they have all the different settings.
That’s great. I know we’re using the all glass piece, but the glass piece that comes with the plastic black tip it works just as well, the plastic is heat-resistant, it doesn’t give any plastic flavor, it’s just your herb flavor.
You’d think, because the hole is so small on this mouthpiece that it would restrict the air-flow and stuff, but it actually doesn’t. I don’t know how they came up with that, probably because all the holes in the bottom, but it doesn’t restrict the air-flow at all, which is really nice.
Okay, so I bumped it up to green to see if you get more vapor.
See? It tastes really good, doesn’t it?
Yeah, I definitely taste it, for sure. I’m noticing how this is not hot at all.
I know, it’s amazing.
Like some of the other vapes, it gets hot.
Yep, I really like it. Then if you use this, it does not heat up at all. You don’t even feel any kind of heat coming off of where you’re holding it, so that’s a really good improvement.
What I will say though is, when I was pulling that, the vapor was kind of hot and I’m wondering if that attachment water tool that I got would attach to this. We’ll have to try that out.
I think it does, I’m pretty sure it does.
The bottom light, the one that stays blue, it actually turns red when the battery is dying though, so that’s how you’ll know that the battery is dying.
Recharge. Plug it in. Just plug it in and then it’ll blink green when it’s charging and when it’s solid green that’s when it’s done charging and you’re ready to go. It’ll take an hour and a half, two hours to fully charge [crosstalk 00:12:06].
Yeah, you could keep vaping while charging, which I love.
Mm-hmm (affirmative). Another great feature about this vaporizer which I love is, when you’re trying to clean it, you really, really don’t have to worry about cleaning the actual chamber. Every once in a while I would wipe it out, just to have a pure flavor, but really what you need to clean is the mouthpiece because that’s what you pack the material into. That’s a really great feature, you don’t have to worry about, really, cleaning the chamber much at all. I really, really like that, and it makes it so much simpler.
I know. How you just took that out and it stays on there, perfect. Yeah, you just dump it out and then you can just run this under some water or wipe it out with an alcohol wipe and you’re good to go, makes it super simple and I like that. Another great portable-feature too, to just be able to dump it out.
It looks like a light saber LOL
As you know, Arizer, the company, is very well-known for the vapor quality and the quality of their vapes. The Air definitely lives up to that.
Definitely. It’s definitely new and improved. I really, really like it. It’s great for a portable vaporizer, it’s really well thought-out. It really touched on everything that we’ve asked for, to improve on the Solo. All the features and settings and accessories that they have, they’ve really done it all, so I would definitely recommend this. The price range is about $260.
You could use your old Solo accessories on the Air, it does fit, so that’s awesome.
That’s great too. Yeah, I don’t have to go buy more things, you might already have them, which is another great benefit. Thank you so much for tuning in with us again.
We will see you guys next week. Thank you so much.
